UVAC has a variety of in-person and online sessions coming up in June. Including the next in our Innovation Exchange series of events: Shaping the future of clean energy, skills and innovation, on 25 June which is open to both members and non-members.

 

UVAC NETWORK MEETINGS 

Quality in Allied Health Apprenticeship Network

Tuesday 9th June 2026 | 13:00 – 15:00 

Supports and facilitates discussion across the sector around sharing of good practice, challenges and enhancements/developments. These network meetings include live guest speakers and alignment to HCPC, Ofsted, OfS and other regulatory bodies and requirements.

Adult Social Care

Tuesday 9th June 2026 | 10:00 – 12:00

The new Adult Social Care Network from UVAC brings together Higher Education Institutions, Independent Training Providers, Further Education providers, employers, sector bodies and regulators to strengthen collaboration, professional development and workforce capability across the Adult Social Care sector. Led by Nigel Taylor and Dr Nicky Westwood, the network will provide a national platform to shape high-level skills, support progression pathways, share best practice and address the evolving challenges facing Adult Social Care.

UVAC Quality Network

NOTE NEW DATE 

Wednesday 17th  June 2026 | 10:00 – 12:00 

This network provides a facilitated platform and safe space to share good practice, discuss and explore the challenges and barriers to quality assurance of apprenticeship provision across the current apprenticeship and skills landscape.  The network will focus on the apprenticeship journey and what this involves and development of a network blueprint. Our Quality network is supported by other experienced HE consultants, external Stakeholders, partners and UVAC members.

WEBINAR 

Effective Module Design – LLE and Apprenticeships

Tuesday 16th June 2026 | 9:30 – 11:00 

UVAC members are invited to register for this session which explores how to identify and design modules with high impact and value to learners and employers, eligible for funding through the Lifelong Learning Entitlement and the Apprenticeship Growth and Skills Levy, and as part of a commercial offer. This practical session will provide guidance and a framework for taking the first or early steps into these new opportunities.

Shaping the future of clean energy, skills and innovation

Thursday 25th June 2026 | 9:30 – 16:30

Open to both members and non-members, you are invited to join UVAC, the North East Institute of Technology and the ORE Catapult for an inspiring Innovation Exchange bringing together leaders from education, industry, research and the wider technical skills ecosystem.

Hosted at the UK’s leading offshore renewable energy innovation and research centre, this high-impact event will explore how curiosity-driven research, workforce foresighting and collaborative partnerships are helping to shape the future of technical, vocational and professional education while supporting the UK’s Net Zero ambitions.
