We’d like to introduce you to UVAC board member Daniel Lally, Group Director of Business, Enterprise, Skills and Employability at Sheffield Hallam University.
Dan is a member of the University’s Executive Leadership Team and leads the Group Directorate of Business, Enterprise, Skills and Employability (BESE). BESE supports the University to develop an enterprising culture through leading on employability, technical education and partnerships; improving outcomes for our graduates, creating value for our partners, and driving productivity across the region.
Dan is also a member of various skills and employment advisory boards across the region, including the South Yorkshire Skills Advisory Board, as well as being Chair of the Higher Skills and Degree Apprenticeship Special Interest Group for the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP). He is a member of the UCAS Council and a non-executive Director of Sheffield Business Improvement District (BID) and the University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC).
Dan describes himself as the ‘product of work-based learning’, having completed early career apprenticeships in hospitality, customer service and business administration, and having most recently completed a Senior Leader Apprenticeship, achieving an MBA with Distinction.
