Middlesex University’s Centre for Apprenticeships and Skills would like to personally invite you to attend its upcoming conference ‘Building on Best Practice for Public Sector Degree Apprenticeships‘. The event is being held at its Hendon campus in London on Tuesday 11th September 2018 and is completely free to attend.
Public sector professionals provide the glue that makes our society work and degree apprenticeships can help develop the highly-skilled workforce that we need.
Public sector employers have a statutory duty to employ 2.3% of their workforce as apprentices, which could help to significantly increase the opportunities for social mobility by enabling more people to access a professional career.
However, the public sector faces major challenges to maintain quality of service while managing stretched finances and major staff shortages.
This conference will consider how we can build on best practice in developing public sector professionals to ensure that degree apprenticeships can fulfil their potential. The event also offers an excellent opportunity to meet and network with colleagues and key figures from the sector.
Book your attendance via https://buildingonbestpractice.eventbrite.co.uk
Middlesex University are also inviting conference contributions that showcase examples of best practice in work-integrated learning, teaching and assessment for public sector degree apprenticeships.
If you are interested, please visit https://bestpracticecontributions.eventbrite.co.uk for more information and to submit your idea.
Middlesex University would be delighted if you could join them. If you have any colleagues or contacts who you think this event would be of interest to, please feel free to forward this invitation.
