We are pleased to confirm that The New Ofsted Framework: Six Months On – Member Conference will now take place at Middlesex University, at The Burroughs campus in Hendon, London on Thursday 23 July (10.00–3.30). 

Six months on from the introduction of the Updated Ofsted framework, UVAC is offering an opportunity to join members and colleagues from Ofsted to share learning and experience to date. 

This in-person conference will explore the implications of the emerging inspection framework, and share practical approaches to preparation and implementation across the sector.

The event is designed to move beyond simply understanding the framework itself and instead focus on how organisations can interpret, operationalise and respond to the evolving inspection landscape in meaningful and practical ways. The conference will combine:

•       direct input from Ofsted speakers,
•       practitioner-led reflection and discussion,
•       interactive member engagement,
•       peer exchange activities,
•       and the launch of practical support resources.

 Conference Objectives

•     Provide members with direct insight into the direction and intent and effective practice of the updated Ofsted framework in practice.
•     build confidence, share experiences and identify effective approaches to inspection readiness and quality improvement.
•     Explore how inspection themes may be interpreted within apprenticeship and skills provision.
•     Support members to understand practical implications for leadership, curriculum, quality assurance 
•     Create opportunities for peer learning and collaborative problem solving.
•     Enable members to share effective practice, concerns and implementation strategies.
•     Launch and showcase practical resources designed to support inspection preparation and continuous improvement.
•     Strengthen member confidence and preparedness through discussion, reflection and networking.

This conference is particularly relevant for colleagues involved in inspection preparation, delivery and quality oversight, including:

• Apprenticeship leaders
• Quality managers
• Curriculum leaders
• Apprenticeship coaches and tutors
• Governance representatives
• Senior leaders with responsibility for inspection readiness
