At the UVAC national conference in 2019, OCR announced that the second phase of our joint research will commence this year that looks at the destinations and aspirations of young people who progress from applied and vocational qualifications at level 3. Our intention is to undertake further work to monitor the growth of Higher and Degree Apprenticeships and, crucially, the qualifications that are being used to access these programmes and build on the survey responses we received last year. The next step would be to look at retention and to see how students entering with different types of qualifications progress. Watch this space.
