It is with great sadness that UVAC learnt that our friend and colleague Professor Ruth Helyer passed away. Ruth served on the UVAC Board for many years and was editor of our official journal, Higher Education, Skills and Work-based Learning. Ruth made a substantial impact on the development and delivery of work-based learning in higher education. She will be missed. Our thoughts and sympathies are with her family and friends.
