There is still time to access AWD’s March courses

 

If you are in Involved in the delivery of apprenticeships the Apprenticeship Workforce Development (AWD) programme offers you a rich range of CPD opportunities funded by the DfE and delivered by sector experts.

 

It is FREE to register and complete all the courses. 

You’ll find over 20 different courses and sessions currently available.via ETF’s learning platform, which has been designed to be personalised and accessible, allowing you to dip in and out to gain support as needed. 

Funded by the Department for Education (DfE), the Apprenticeship Workforce Development programme is being delivered by the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) in partnership with the Association of Colleges (AoC), Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP), Strategic Development Network (SDN) and the University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC) and supported by SQW as an independent evaluator.

25 March

Managing apprenticeship withdrawals – Delivery & Support staff 25 

This CPD session is designed for delegates who recognise their need to develop and improve this component of their apprenticeship delivery. Attendees should be able to better understand influences and indicators of performance in relation to withdrawals.

This course is delivered via a live Zoom session on the 25 March from 9:30 – 12:30

25 March

Improving initial assessment – Managers 

This CPD session is designed for delegates who recognise their need to develop and improve this component of their apprenticeship delivery. Join the course to understand how to develop robust initial assessments and immediately improve the apprentice and employer experience.

This course is delivered via live Zoom session on 25 March 13:30 – 16:30.

26 March

Effective initial assessment – understanding the process and ensuring quality – Delivery staff 

This CPD session is designed for delegates who feel this component of their apprenticeship delivery is strong, but would like to explore effective practice to develop it further. This session will build on your current practice and provide longer term areas for continuous improvement. Designed for delivery staff who are building their initial assessment model – or are keen to take it to a higher level of quality and compliance.  

This course is delivered via two live Zoom sessions. Places are limited, so please make sure you can attend before you enrol.

  • Session 1 is on 26 March 9:30 – 12:30.
  • Session 2 is on 26 March 13:30 – 16:30.

Working successfully with employers – Managers, Delivery & Support Staff 

This CPD session is designed for delegates who recognise their need to develop and improve this component of their apprenticeship delivery. The session will help you review your current practice, and identify areas where immediate developments and improvements can be made. Reflect on existing apprenticeship practice when working with employers to identify outcomes-linked strengths and areas for improvement.

This course is delivered via a live Zoom session on 26 March 13:00-16:00

Supporting apprentices with English and maths – contextualised – Delivery & Support staff 

This CPD session is designed for delegates who feel this component of their apprenticeship delivery is strong, but would like to explore effective practice to develop it further. Equip yourself to effectively support maths and English progression for apprentices, improve retention and boost success rates.

This course is delivered via two live Zoom sessions. Places are limited, so please make sure you can attend before you enrol.

  • Session 1 is on  Thursday 21 March  09:30 – 12:30
  • Session 2 is on  Tuesday 26 March   09:30 – 12:30.

Getting off to a good start: delivering effective onboarding – Delivery staff 

 This CPD session is designed for delegates who feel this component of their apprenticeship delivery is strong, but would like to explore effective practice to develop it further. Get your apprentices and employers off to a positive start with an effective onboarding process. This course is aimed at helping you to set them up for success from day one.

It is FREE to register and complete this course.

This course is delivered via a live Zoom session on 27 March 14:30-17:30

Improving apprenticeships using progress reviews (part 1 and 2) – Delivery staff 

This CPD session is designed for delegates who feel this component of their apprenticeship delivery is strong, but would like to explore effective practice to develop it further. Review your approach to progress reviews and explore how to draw on the outcomes of initial assessment.

This course is delivered via two live Zoom sessions. Places are limited, so please make sure you can attend before you enrol.

  • Session 1 is on Thursday 28 March 9:30-12:30
  • Session 2 is on Thursday 28 March 13:30 – 16:30.
