SEEC is a UALL Network that aims to ‘advance education for the public benefit by developing credit accumulation and transfer and promoting lifelong learning, at higher education level’. We do this by providing and promoting events and networking opportunities to facilitate the sharing of best practice and new developments in policy and practice. We publish resources for the benefit of higher education practitioners and the wider community, notably the SEEC Credit Level Descriptors, which are featured in the QAA HE Credit Framework for England. SEEC has also contributed, through UALL, to the development of the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE) policy, which ‘will transform the post-18 student finance system in England’ (DfE) based on academic credit.
The SEEC Network is led by Professor Darryll Bravenboer working with Network Committee members who steer the work of the Network to achieve its aims. We are now seeking new committee members to join SEEC in 2024 to take forward the important contribution SEEC makes to the higher education sector.
