UVAC 2026 Conference Date Announced

UVAC 2026 Conference Date Announced

We are delighted to announce that UVAC’s annual conference will be on Thursday 19th November 2026.

Conference theme

In the last 12 months we’ve seen the UK apprenticeship and skill landscape shifting significantly, including the de-funding of level 7’s, and the sector undergoing structural changes driven by the Growth and Skills Levy.

This year our conference takes the theme of Reimagining HE and Skills: Policy, Place, Innovation and Growth, where we will examine these key changes and look at how the sector will implement and adapt to the changes.

New Venue

After several years in Birmingham this year will see our flagship event moving to the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry, a venue that’s purpose very much aligns with our own core mission of supporting apprenticeships at every level.

Established in 2010 to bridge the gap between academia and industry, the MTC plays a vital role in strengthening the future of British manufacturing through skills development, innovation, and real-world training.

Through MTC Training, the MTC delivers high-quality Level 2, 3, and 4 apprenticeship programmes designed to equip learners with the skills needed for high-value manufacturing careers. Training is delivered from the Lloyds Bank Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC), a state-of-the-art facility equipped with industry-standard technologies and expert trainers.

Crucially, income generated from events hosted at the AMTC is reinvested directly into apprenticeship training each year. So, by choosing the MTC as our event venue, UVAC is pleased to actively support and work with an organisation where commercial activity helps fund skills development.
