We’d like to introduce you to UVAC board member Professor Darryll Bravenboer
Darryll is Director of Apprenticeships and Professor of Higher education and Skills at Middlesex University. His responsibilities include driving and delivering Middlesex University’s apprenticeship strategy as a major provider of higher-level skills in the region and nationally. He has extensive experience of developing vocational and work-based higher education provision in response to the needs of a wide range of employment sectors in diverse professional contexts including higher and degree apprenticeships and other areas of academic enterprise. His research interests include the philosophy and sociology of education, higher education policy, fair access, widening participation, lifelong learning and vocational, work-based and employer-responsive higher education.
Darryll is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Board Director of UVAC, a UALL Trustee and Chair of the SEEC UALL Network, Chair of the Police Education Consortium, a member of the QAA Advisory Groups developing the Higher and Degree Apprenticeship Characteristics Statement, Work-based Learning advice and guidance and the HE Credit Framework for England. Darryll is also a member of the IfATE Degree Apprenticeship Stakeholder Group and the UCAS Apprenticeships Advisory Group.
