Ready for Roll Out – practical realities of the renewed inspection framework for Higher Education
We are delighted that Kerry Boffey, founder and CEO Fellowship of Inspection Nominees (FIN)) will be the first of our Keynote speakers at our national conference, with her session Ready for Roll Out – practical realities of the renewed inspection framework for Higher Education.
Kerry will be presenting a timely and important session examining Ofsted’s revised inspection framework, due for implementation this November, and will explore the implications for UVAC members, considering both opportunities and challenges.
Drawing on the Fellowship of Inspection Nominees’ (FIN) early exposure to pilot inspections, Kerry will share initial insights into how these changes are likely to shape expectations of providers. With FIN and UVAC working in close partnership, and with FIN’s detailed understanding of the context in which UVAC members operate, Kerry will highlight key priorities and offer practical guidance. The session will be designed to build confidence among nominees, leaders, and managers as they prepare for the new framework.
About Kerry
Kerry has held senior leadership positions in Independent Training Providers and has carried out interim leadership roles for Colleges and Specialist Colleges. As a former Ofsted inspector, with 18 years’ experience, Kerry has worked across the UK, and on international projects, managing teams and providers through very challenging inspections due to their complexity. This in-depth understanding of inspection, alongside concerns for providers’ lack of effective preparation, was the driver behind founding the Fellowship of Inspection Nominees (FIN) in 2017.
Kerry is a well-respected trainer and facilitator, is passionate about developing senior leadership teams, and provides external governance for numerous further education providers; championing quality that focuses on the impact on learners.
If you’d like to hear Kerry speak, as well as hearing from other leaders in the sector who will be exploring the theme ‘CHANGE: Creating and Adapting to Apprenticeship and Skills Policy—Past, Present, and Future, then book your tickets for UVAC’s national conference, on 20 November 2025 at the ICC, Birmingham, today.
