It is with sadness that we announce the recent death of Professor Simon Roodhouse, Chief Executive of UVAC from it’s formation in 1999 until 2007. Simon died on Good Friday, 6th April, peacefully at home.
Simon had been diagnosed with Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA) in May 2011 and kept a blog of his story of living with MSA, in order to raise the profile of MSA and share his experiences. Simon’s blog, which includes a post from his wife Liz following his death, can be found here.
Simon’s funeral will be on Thursday 19th April at 11.30am at St Mary’s, Embsay and will be followed by a green burial nearby. Adrian Anderson, Chief Executive, will represent UVAC at the funeral.
