“We wanted to take this opportunity to share the successes of Cambridge Technical qualifications which have gone from strength to strength over the last two years. Success has only been possible because of the input of dedicated teachers, employers and many other stakeholders who have contributed their support. From a standing start, Cambridge Technicals have become established and widely recognised by universities, enjoyed by students and embraced by many teachers. The numbers speak for themselves with 23,000 learners receiving qualification results this summer.
This is an opportunity for you to learn more about how OCR’s vocational qualifications are supporting the progression for those leaving compulsory education Post-18. At this discussion forum you will have the opportunity to observe the outcomes of learner achievements and experience first-hand the knowledge and assessment provision they have engaged with. There will also be an opportunity to find out more about government policy development in relation to vocational education and how this might impact on progression and the future work force. In addition to those who have supported our Cambridge Technical qualifications there will be mixture of representatives from further and higher education, and from business which will provide valuable networking opportunities.
The event will take place at University of Warwick on Thursday 29 November 2018 starting at 10am and finishing at 3pm. Attendance is free and lunch will be provided.
In order to allow for plenty of debate, it will be necessary to keep numbers relatively low, so please respond as early as possible to allow us to manage attendance appropriately. If you are unable to attend you may wish to substitute your attendance for another colleague in your organisation.”
