UVAC knowledge networks provide a myriad of benefits for UVAC members and offer a collaborative forum for higher education (HE) practitioners, staff, and academics to collaborate and discuss apprenticeships, the HE skills landscape and other technical and professional qualifications.
The networks support the development of communities of practice that align to several apprenticeship standards and different subject specialisms. These collaborative networks provide a safe space and support for HE practitioners, staff and academics to engage with each other and wider stakeholders.

UVAC Apprenticeship and Skills Doctoral and Researcher Knowledge Network
This is a newly formed UVAC knowledge network to develop a community of practice supporting doctoral students and researchers sharing of research studies where focus of their research is around apprenticeships and skills. It is a collaborative forum offering support and a safe space to discuss any challenges, coping strategies, barriers and opportunities aligned to their doctoral and research studies.

Quality in Allied Health Apprenticeships Network
This network offers the opportunity to explore the challenges, successes, and development for AHP apprenticeships at Local, Regional and National level. More recent network events have focused on the challenges and barriers within the AHP apprenticeship development and the support and process for HCPC approval.

Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship Knowledge Network (PCDA)
This DAKN development is currently being supported through UVAC working collaboratively with the University of Salford and Leeds Trinity University.

Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship Knowledge Network
The CMDA DAKN currently is made up of UVAC members/practitioners from 17 different Higher Education Institutions who are passionate about the quality, development, and impact of the CMDA for learners, employers, and wider skills agenda.
