Connecting Adults to Work through Adult Community Education

Connecting Adults to Work through Adult Community Education

UVAC’s Dr Mandy Crawford-Lee is speaking at this year’s HOLEX Winter Network on 27 November,  where the focus is on Connecting Adults to Work through Adult Community Education. Adult Community Education plays a vital role in helping people gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to thrive in today’s workforce. Creating inclusive opportunities and supporting adults into meaningful work will underpin the theme of the day.

The event brings together leaders, educators, and policymakers from Department for Education and Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and Ofsted and FE Commissioners team to share insights, policy developments, and strategies for connecting adults to meaningful employment through high quality education.

HOLEX is the lead body for Adult Community Education and Learning in England. HOLEX represents a network of 140+ Adult Community Education (ACE) Institutions and is the sector professional membership body for Local Authority Adult Community Education (ACE) services, Institutes for Adult Learning (IAL’s) and independent third sector providers including Local Authority spin offs and national providers.
