All these sessions are offered as part of UVAC membership and open to any personnel from member institutions. Members are invited to share these event registration links with colleagues for them to register to attend.

THE NEW OFSTED FRAMEWORK: DIFFERENCES & IMPLICATIONS

This session is offered as part of our Black Box Workshop series and intended to familiarise the apprenticeship team and quality leads with the details and impact of the new FE & Skills Framework. QUALITY IN NURSING APPRENTICESHIPS: UVAC AND NHSE NETWORK :

Monday 19th January 2026 | 13:00 – 15:00 

Following on from previous collaborative networks between UVAC and NHSE 2026 dates are now live for registration on-line.  These will build on previous discussions to support and facilitate discussion across the sector around sharing of good practice, challenges and enhancements/developments. These will include live guest speakers and alignment to Ofsted, OfS and NMC and other regulatory bodies and requirements.

UVAC HIGHER EDUCATION TRIPARTITE PROFESSIONALS NETWORK 

Tuesday 20th January 2026 | 14:00 – 16:00 

This UVAC knowledge network seeks to support everyone involved in representing Universities in the apprenticeship tripartite relationship, and those who lead and support this work. If you undertake Progress Review Meetings, provide coaching/mentoring/tutoring to apprentices, or monitor individual learners’ compliance with funding rules, or lead or manage people who do this, then this network aims to support you and develop this professional community of practice.

LEARNING FROM THE OFSTED PILOTS

Thursday 22nd January 2026 | 9:30 – 11:30 

In this insight-focused session, we will share learning and emerging themes from providers who participated in the early Ofsted ‘pilot inspections’ under the new framework. The session will consider what universities can expect from future inspections and set out the advice from the pilots to inform preparation, training for staff, quality assurance and self-assessment.
