UVAC 2026 Member Services Survey

UVAC 2026 Member Services Survey

UVAC members are invited to take part in UVAC’s 2026 Member Services Survey.

The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete, and the responses are part of our planning approach this year and will shape the services that we offer to you from August 2026 to July 2027.  The deadline for completing the survey is 5pm on Monday 20 April

All responses to the survey are confidential and only shared in collated format so no response is attributable to any one respondent or to their organisation.

You can start the survey using this link WELCOME TO THE UVAC 2026 MEMBER SURVEY – Fill in form. You will  need to complete the survey in one sitting  but you can return to it to amend your responses if needed.

Dr Mandy Crawford-Lee, Chief Executive, UVAC explains why your participation and views are important to ensure that UVAC continues to represent and support our members effectively in a rapidly evolving policy landscape.

“UVAC is owned by and run by the higher education sector. UVAC is for ALL HE institutions – which as a skills focused higher education membership organisation makes us uniquely placed to represent you. Our independence and focus allow us to speak for and on behalf of the HE sector.

We have a track record of providing high quality and expert support. For more than 27 years UVAC has provided sound advice and guidance to HE on opportunities that maximise investment in skills by government and employers and has had considerable reach when influencing national apprenticeship and skills policy. However, the apprenticeship and skills policy environment in which we operate is subject to greater policy fluctuations now than in the last 10 years.

At UVAC our work is grounded in a simple but powerful principle: that higher-level technical and professional education should be shaped by, and for, those it serves. Our members—universities, colleges, and sector partners—sit at the heart of all that we do, collectively advancing opportunity, driving curriculum innovation, and ensuring that vocational and professional pathways are both rigorous and respected.  Our plans include more practical support for members and the HE sector to facilitate delivery of more effective skills programmes including on matters of compliance, quality, cost effectiveness, innovation, national and regional alignment, the recruitment of more students and enhanced partnerships with employers and other organisations.

Over the past year, UVAC has continued to champion the distinct value of higher and degree apprenticeships, influencing policy, engaging with government, and amplifying the voice of our membership. Through sustained advocacy, we have helped to secure recognition of the critical role our members play in delivering skills for economic growth, social mobility, and public good. Our contributions have informed national debates, shaped funding discussions, and strengthened the case for an integrated, employer-responsive skills system. Whether through consultation responses, participation in working groups, or sharing practice, UVAC members have demonstrated leadership across the sector.

Together, we have built a strong, credible, and influential collective voice.  As we look ahead, your insights are more important than ever. This survey provides an opportunity to reflect on our shared achievements, understand your priorities, and ensure that UVAC continues to represent and support you effectively in a rapidly evolving policy landscape.”
