UVAC supporting WorldSkills UK team at WorldSkills Lyon 2024
This September 1500 young people from 65+ countries compete in 62 technical disciplines, attracting 250 000 spectators, at the 47th WorldSkills Competition, known as the ‘skills Olympics. Team GB comprises 31 apprentices and students from across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland and is selected, trained, and managed by WorldSkills UK.
As WorldSkills UK first ever Higher Education partner University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC) is delighted that Dr Mandy Crawford-Lee will be attending the event to support Team UK in Lyon, from 10th to the 15th of September. For nearly a decade, the collaboration between UVAC and WorldSkills UK has driven forward our shared ambition to raise the standards of technical, professional education, and world-class skills delivery across the UK.
We wish all the competitors from Team UK the best of luck at WorldSkills Lyon as they showcase their world-class skills and compete on an international stage, representing the UK.
