Government Boost for Nursing Degree Apprenticeship

Government Boost for Nursing Degree Apprenticeship

The Government’s announcement on 10 August 2020 to invest £172 million to support the delivery of 8,000 Nursing Degree Apprenticeships does two things.

Firstly, as UVAC has argued it demonstrates the value of Degree Apprenticeship in tackling skills shortages.

And secondly the value Government attaches to Degree Apprenticeship.

The Government has, however, a target to train 50,000 more nurses by 2024-25.  Perhaps Degree Apprenticeship could play an even bigger role?
