This session explores how to engage with regional and spatial skills planning to strengthen the position of universities as anchor institutions and a key partner in meeting skills needs.

With input from a Mayoral Authority and the Local Government Association we’ll consider the tactical steps that we can take to position ourselves as partners with impact in local, spatial and regional skills ecosystems. Our focus is on how to demonstrate our value as a partner, how to respond to local needs through apprenticeships and the emerging range of skills offers for employers and individuals, and to understand the funding and programmes planned by governmental structures.

This is all part of building a strong external and internal case for maintaining a work-based learning offer to employers.
