This practical session for apprenticeship delivery and business development teams will explore how to increase engagement, retention and achievement with small and medium-sized employers. We will consider what SMEs need from apprenticeship providers, the engagement activities that work and the barriers that affect participation and progress.  The session will review successful approaches to recruitment, onboarding, programme flexibility, progress reviews and early intervention that strengthen the employer relationship while helping apprentices remain engaged, make progress and successfully complete their programme.
