This session explores the evolving role of line managers with the changes to funded skills support including apprenticeships, the move to modular provision, on programme EPA and learner self funded skills offers.

We examined the emerging new line manager and employer responsibilities in supporting learning from pre-onboarding to EPA and heard about the challenges this presents and the support that line managers feel is effective.

The session confirms how to develop communication and engagement strategies with employers and ensure that employer feedback and engagement is effective in improving retention, satisfaction and achievement.
