UVAC’s current Chief Executive will be retiring in the Autumn of 2021. UVAC is accordingly seeking to recruit a new Chief Executive to lead us in the next stage of our development. Salary Circa £75,000.
With a history of over 20 years and more than 80 HEIs currently in membership, UVAC is the not-for-profit Higher Education representative organisation, established to champion higher-level vocational learning. UVAC’s activities focus on research, advocacy and membership support and our agenda covers; Apprenticeships, vocational and technical education, work placements and professional programmes. Our key focus is ensuring that the nation, employers and individuals have the right higher level skills to raise productivity, deliver key public services and deliver the Net Zero and Green Jobs agenda. We are committed to supporting the use of technical, professional and vocational learning to enhance social mobility and diversity in the workplace.
UVAC’s Chief Executive will need to have an excellent understanding of high-level vocational learning, relevant policies and the role of higher education in skills. They will have outstanding advocacy and research skills, have a track record in income generation and the ability to deliver membership support services for UVAC members.
