Support for higher education providers applying to the Skills Funding Agency to deliver degree apprenticeships after May 2017

Following the announcement from the Skills Funding Agency about the new Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers, and the invitation to tender for funding to deliver degree apprenticeships to non-levy-paying employers, HEFCE has commissioned the University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC) to deliver a range of support for the higher education sector. The event calendar is summarised below.

Webinar: Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP)

To help you to draft your application, we will be running a webinar on the RoATP. This webinar will cover:

· the criteria

· typical evidence requirements

· the process

· timelines in the published RoATP specification

· information on good practice.

Webinar: Invitation to tender (ITT) for funding to deliver degree apprenticeships to non-levy-paying employers

To help you draft your application, we will be running a webinar on the invitation to tender. This will cover:

· the criteria

· typical evidence

· how to develop your funding levels in the application

· information on good practice.

RoATP and ITT in-depth session

Venue: HEFCE London Office

Date: Friday 11 November from 1000

For higher education providers with specific questions about the RoATP or ITT that are planning to submit applications imminently. This day will provide direct access to UVAC colleagues who can provide support and guidance around application questions.

This day will summarize but not replicate information available in the webinars, so it is suggested that institutions planning to attend this in-depth session review these prior to attending. The day will comprise:

· 1000 -1030 – Introduction and brief overview of processes

· 1030 -1130 – Group question and answer session

· 1130 -1630 – Individual surgery sessions.

Spaces for this intensive day will be very limited, to ensure those requiring one-to-one sessions are accommodated. Please email [email protected] if you would like to attend this event, indicating whether you would also like to book an individual surgery session.
