SEEC – Call for Submissions

SEEC – Call for Submissions

The impact of the SEEC Credit Level Descriptors: case studies

SEEC exists to benefit its members and those involved in applying academic credit in their workplaces. We provide opportunities for learning from one another, exemplified in this year’s publication of case studies showcasing the impact of SEEC’s Descriptors.

In 2020, SEEC would like to publish more of these to widen understanding of their application in different contexts, and you are invited to share your experiences with others in the sector.  A call for submissions is here, with a deadline of 30th November.

SEEC’s Credit Level Descriptors remain the most detailed descriptors for assessing levels of academic learning and are widely used by HE providers across the UK.

In April 2019, SEEC published a set of papers describing recent work in a range of contexts – five universities and two professional bodies – showcasing the application of the Descriptors in course design, curriculum development, supporting learning outcomes, and developing new qualification pathways.

SEEC is now issuing a call for submissions of further case studies demonstrating the use of SEEC guidance and the impact of the Descriptors. These will form the basis of a SEEC event in the spring of 2020 as well as a new online publication.

If you would like to contribute a case study for review and possible inclusion, please send an outline of no more than 200 words to SEEC at [email protected] before 30 November 2019.
