UVAC Knowledge Networks

UVAC Knowledge Networks

UVAC Knowledge Networks provide a collaborative forum for higher education (HE) practitioners, staff, and academics to collaborate and discuss apprenticeships, the HE skills landscape and other technical and professional qualifications.

UVAC offers support to all members through the delivery and facilitation of knowledge networks. The networks support the development of communities of practice that align to several apprenticeship standards and different subject specialisms. These collaborative networks provide a safe space and support for HE practitioners, staff and academics to engage with each other and wider stakeholders.

“UVAC knowledge networks provide a myriad of benefits for UVAC members. The collaboration and support from the networks bring together different individuals with diverse skills and expertise.  The networks provide a safe space to discuss different perspectives, share challenges, explore innovative solutions and the opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences, expertise, and best practices. The rich discussions and interactions at the networks provide peer to peer support , reflection and highlight further opportunities for collaborative work and research forming a supportive community of practice. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to facilitate the networks and excited to continue to work in collaboration with our members.” Dr Nicky Westwood, lead UVAC Associate for the Knowledge Networks

UVAC networks have grown across 2023/2024 focusing on new subject areas of apprenticeships, HE skills landscape and the opportunity to deliver jointly with external stakeholders and partners. This has provided valuable insights and support for existing members and facilitated further collaborative work and research.

All networks are developed, facilitated and co-chaired through working collaboratively with UVAC members. Our face-to-face networks are kindly hosted and supported by UVAC Institution members offering the facilities needed for UVAC to support delivery of the knowledge networks.

2024/2025 will continue to support the growth of new UVAC knowledge networks and further development and embedding of existing networks.
