Quality in Nursing Apprenticeships: UVAC Members

13th January 2025 – 11.00am-13.00pm

Join this network meeting on the morning of 13 January, online, which is co-facilitated by UVAC and NHSE with dates planned for 2025.

These will build on previous discussions to support and facilitate further collaboration across the sector around sharing of good practice, challenges and enhancements/developments. These networks will include live guest speakers and alignment to Ofsted, OfS and NMC and other regulatory bodies and requirements.

UVAC Higher Education Tripartite Professionals Community Network

15th January 2025 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Join the Higher and Degree Apprenticeship Knowledge Network, 15 January at 1.30pm for this online network meeting Co-facilitated with: Dr Nicky Westwood (UVAC),  Northumbria University (Dr Helen Charlton) and University of Hertfordshire (Dr Phil Power-Mason) and developed working in collaboration with the University of Hertfordshire and University of Northumbria.

This network seeks to support everyone involved in representing Universities in the apprenticeship tripartite relationship, and those who lead and support this work. If you undertake Progress Review Meetings, provide coaching/mentoring/tutoring to apprentices, or monitor individual learners’ compliance with funding rules, or lead or manage people who do this, then this network aims to support you and develop this professional community of practice.

NEW UVAC Apprenticeship Construction & Built Environment (ACBE) Knowledge Network

30th January 2025 online: 13.30pm- 15.30pm

This new UVAC Apprenticeship Construction & Built Environment (ACBE) Knowledge Network seeks to bring together construction and built environment academic teams with their quality assurance and apprenticeships teams to share good practice, address challenges and seek to deliver innovative solutions. This network is supported by the Technical Apprenticeship Consortium (TAC), the Construction Industry Council (CIC), the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) and the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM)

HTQ Policy and Admissions 

30th January 2025 11:00-12:30

This session will begin with a policy update on HTQs and highlight some of the new DfE resources that are available to support HTQ providers.  Drawing on new research from UCAS with the Gatsby Charitable Foundation. Where Next? Who applies for Level 4 and 5 qualifications? | Undergraduate | UCAS the session will move on to discuss how people make decisions about HE and who studies Level 4/5 courses.  An overview of the support and resources available from UCAS through information, advice and guidance and admissions for HTQs will also be shared. UCAS are keen to hear from attendees on how it can work with the sector and what might be helpful in developments for the future.
