DATE: Wednesday 26th April 2023 | 14:00 - 16:00
TOPIC: DAKN – EQA/END POINT ASSESSMENT
UVAC members and non-members alike are invited to the inaugural online meeting of the Degree Apprenticeship Knowledge Network (DAKN) concerned with apprenticeship End Point Assessment (EPA) in Higher Education and the EQA of EPA.
Hosted in conjunction with UVAC member Federation of Industry Sector Skills and Standards (FISSS), this event includes presenters from OfS, QAA, IfATE and the Head of Apprenticeship Strategy from FISSS. You will also hear from practitioners, including from a university that has recently been monitored by QAA in its final phase of work as DQB, about what effective readiness looks like in preparing for and achieving good outcomes from the quality assurance of EPA in integrated degree apprenticeships.
The focus will be on communicating the latest policy updates around EPA and the External Quality Assurance Framework, sharing lessons learned from recent EQA readiness and monitoring visits and what institutions can expect in the future to help them prepare for assessment of integrated EPA. IfATE and the Federation will provide practical guidance and assistance around apprenticeship Standards, EPA practice, ways to ensure consistency around assessment plans, use of data to track progress, how to monitor current performance and surface performance trends data alongside a framework to underpin quality assurance using the ACE360 EPA platform.
Signposting to resources will be provided to all attendees along with access to toolkits for UVAC members to support institutions in their EPA practice.
This session essentially takes a look at: Where are we? What do we know? What might the future hold?
