Social Worker Degree Apprenticeships: INVITATION TO RESEARCH FOCUS GROUP

Social Worker Degree Apprenticeships: INVITATION TO RESEARCH FOCUS GROUP

On behalf of Skills for Care, York Consulting LLP is currently undertaking research into the barriers to, and opportunities for, social worker degree apprenticeships. The research is funded by the Department for Health and Social Care.

As part of the research, York Consulting are keen to obtain the views of Higher Education Institution (HEI) providers. They would like to understand different models of delivery and to establish the successes and challenges associated with encouraging take-up, delivering the apprenticeships, supporting apprentices, and working in partnership with local authorities and other employers.

To facilitate this, you are invited to participate in a focus group which will take place on Thursday, 1st December 2022 between 10.00am and 11.30am. Further details of the themes and questions for discussion will be shared nearer the time.

If you would like to and are able to attend the focus group, please contact [email protected], for a Teams invite. If you are not able to attend but would like to contribute to or have any questions regarding the research, please do contact Georgina by email or call 07919 043195.

This research will complement our own Social Worker Degree Apprenticeship Knowledge Network (DAKN) facilitated by UVAC Associate, Dr John Lanham.
