Additional Support

In addition to our general membership support and publication of the UVAC Journal the following are the activities UVAC undertakes to support the whole higher education sector deliver the Degree Apprenticeships and higher technical skills programmes demanded by employers and required in order to deliver the government’s productivity and social mobility agendas. The work is divided into two main elements

Degree Apprenticeship higher education sector support

Including a strand of work on technical education and its impact on progression to Degree Apprenticeships

Development

Advising upon and supporting the development of the Apprenticeship system.

Service delivery will be via:

  1. Surgeries
  2. Briefings
  3. Webinars and related Q&As
  4. Guidance and research
  5. Annual contracts and templates
  6. Centre for Degree Apprenticeship publications
  7. Support for employer groups and providers developing Degree Apprenticeships and who are wishing to grow the range and volume of provision
  8. Support for regulators
  9. Monitoring and advising on ESFA and Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education systems and policy
  10. The facilitation of degree apprenticeship networks for key Standards
  11. Tracking and supporting progression into higher education from apprenticeship and technical education
