AccessHE – Degree Apprenticeships: A Social Mobility Opportunity

April 23 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm

AccessHE is pleased to open registration for the third event in the London Student Outcomes series – Degree Apprenticeships: A social mobility opportunity? – taking place 09:30 – 13:00 on Monday 23 April 2018 in central London.

Supported by the University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC) the event will be chaired by Dr Darryll Bravenboer, Director of Apprenticeships and Skills at Middlesex University.

Are Degree Apprenticeships the key to “smashing the Level 3 glass ceiling” of apprenticeships? Can they offer debt-free progression to higher level jobs for learners from disadvantaged backgrounds and deliver a real widening of participation in higher education? Or should we be concerned about who might be missing from new uses of levy funds? This event will explore these questions and more by sharing emerging best practice in this area, bringing together employers, universities and other organisations to explore some of the key challenges and opportunities for promoting social mobility through Degree Apprenticeships in London.

Registration here.
